Lucky Cement The Largest Cement Exporter from Pakistan

Introduction:

Lucky Cement was established in 1996 by Mr. Abdul Razzak Tabba with a vision, " Being not only the industry leader but industry innovator. Lucky Cement has come a long way in term of capacity, performance, image building and has been able to capitalize the local and international opportunities.

Year by Year Progress:

1996 to 1999

In 1996 Lucky Cement start its production process form PEZU plant with capacity of 1.2 million ton per year using two Lines (Line-A & Line-B). Later on in 1999 this capacity of 1.2 million ton per year increased to 1.5 million ton.

2000 to 2005

In 2001 Lucky Cement Converted its Kiln Firing System from furnace oil to coal based to reduce its cost of production and to prevent environment from emission of CO2 gas.
2002 was the year when Lucky Cement started the export of cement and became the largest cement export of Pakistan by the year 2005. 2005 was year of great improvement

Lucky Cement continued expansion and started another production line at PEZU Plant (Line-D) in 2006. In the same year they started two more lines (Line-E & Line-F) at Karachi Plant and this addition entitled lucky cement “The Largest Cement Manufacture Company” in Pakistan.
Lucky planned to export loose cement and for this purpose they purchased their own bulkers. Lucky Cement has 77 bulkers for transportation of loose cement from Karachi Plant to Port and became the 1st company to export loose cement through from Pakistan.

2008 to 2010

In 2008 Lucky Cement became the first company to issue GDR & got listed in the London Stock Exchange. During this year Lucky Cement setup its own loose cement storage facility at Karachi Port having the capacity of storing 24,000 tons of loose cement at a time.
In 2009 they started another production line (Line-G) at Karachi Plant. This addition brought the total capacity to 7.75 million tons per year.
Lucky Cement has its own Power Generation Plant and generates their own electricity also they provide electricity to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) and signed MOU in 2010 to sell 50 MW to KESC.
